Frank McCourt: Deal with the devil

Frank McCourt referred to the MLB financing plan today in court papers as a “Deal with the devil”……WHAT?!

Everyday Frank McCourt just finds new ways to amaze me! First he okay’d the signing of Juan Uribe. Second he sucked over a 100 million from the Dodgers. Third he listed Vin Scully as a creditor he couldn’t pay while filing for “Frankrupsy”. Now he is referring to MLB as the “Devil” in court papers. Whats next? Your Jesus? Also detailed in the court papers is how McCourt views the reason for the decline of attendance as a result of the Bryan Stow beating on opening day this year. I guess he never spoken to this guy pictured above who clearly isn’t asking for a safer Dodger Stadium. Or maybe he is if you think Dodger Stadium would be a safer place without McCourt. Either way McCourt is clearly out of touch with reality and the Dodger nation is out of luck until he is gone.

One more side note: The Honorable Judge Kevin Gross is overseeing the Dodgers bankruptcy and has the same name as former Dodger Kevin Gross and Downey native who pitched a no-hitter for Los Angeles in 1992… Coincidence? Yes, but the Dodger nation can only hold their breath its a sign of good things to come.

  2. The program must include source code, and must allow distribution in source code as well as compiled form. Where some form of a product is not distributed with source code, there must be a well-publicized means of obtaining the source code for no more than a reasonable reproduction cost preferably downloading via the Internet without charge.

  3. They should try the amendment process.

  4. One usually doesnt associated the adjective Bressonian with Mervyn LeRoy, and Ill have to rewatch it to remember exactly that thought crossed my mind when I saw this film at a Film Forum 1990s pre-code series, but Heat Lightning is if nothing else a hour long of archetypal pure pleasure Warners studio fare, and for me the most excited Ive ever gotten seeing a LeRoy film.

  5. If much of the 100 percent open-source software running the Daily Republics web site was developed by the Daily Republic, then the Daily Republic has created open source software. And I think thats awesome. Honestly, this isnt that hard.

  6. I dont think he cares. Seriously. Think about it. One of the best defensive centers in the league, why does he need more offense? Hes made a living playing defense, so he thinks screw the offense

  7. I seem to remember a western and Im sure Eastwood was in it, where a man on a motorbike has nitro-glycerine. Anyone know what that one is and whether it was an Eastwood movie too?

  8. Melanie, we think there are a lot of things our presidents are considered not on a need to know. Thats a problem with term limits for pres, but not for congress or C.I.A, F.B.I., etc. Makes those people much more powerful than the POTUS.

  9. I keep reminding myself that Christ is way above my feelings. In my mind I imagine a great mass of storm clouds, which are my feelings, doubts and naggy thoughts that keep telling me Ill offend God or turn away from Him if I dont do everything perfectly then I imagine Christ Himself so far above the clouds, which do not ever truly block Him out. I remind myself to look up and see the One Who does not change, and, in the words of a dear friend, only requires me to love Him and His people. Not perfection. Just faith.

  10. I laughed at Verenas post a person on a committee I was involved in used to write diatribes in a distinctive font and colour. It got to the point that no one involved in the organization could look at a message written in blue they would automatically start twitching!

  11. I didnt proof read. Its not politics. Weekly World News is just as reliable as FOX News. Objectively, they are terrible news sources. I dont discredit conservative perspectives even if I am not right-leaning. For instance, I often read Policy Review. If you are familiar with that journal, you would know it is caters to a conservative viewpoint. Still, it often publishes well-researched and thoughtful articles.

  12. Kent, it is possible that you misinterpreted my meaning. When I said that I didnt think that Betty Comden was the type to make sport of the starstruck, I was agreeing that that is not how her questioner should be characterized. As you tell it, she not only said it, but she said it better than any of us could have.

Mark Buehrles no-hitter against the Texas Rangers on 4/18. The Sox won 6-0. Jermaine Dye hit a grand slam, and Jim Thome hit two solo home runs.

  14. Im frequently amazed at how often I see LCD monitors set incorrectly. At least half the monitors in any given Future Shop store seem to be this way, and a lot of computers in public places.

Death at a Funeral was an extraordinary movie!

  16. PS: Dont hold your grudge forever. My Mom divorced twice. My Dad was vile to her and myself for years, but weve made amends in the last 10 years and Im glad we did. Heres hoping you get to the NFL and get drafted by Mikey Tomlin and Black & Gold!!

  17. Just wanted to say that you have some awesome content on your website.

  18. Matterhorn says:

I think this is certainly the most vital info in my opinion. And im glad reading your article. But wanna remark on few general things, The web page style is best suited, the articles is basically great : D. Good job, cheers
